Depends ... it may be for the betterment of his child, not her. If so .... he is honorable and keeping a promise can be a good thing .... but if it is to maintain contact and good relations for other things .... drop him like a hot potato and run for cover .... NOW!

No. Let him keep his promise. I was the "ex" girlfriend who was waiting for a car from my "ex" husband. I really needed it and when he left I had little money and no way to get around. He did get me the car he had promised and my life is a lot easier now.

He has a child and for the rest of his life he has to have communication with this woman. If you trust him, and he is only taking care of his business then there should be no problem.

My ex's girlfriend had a problem with me at first, jealous and stuff, but I made it clear to her that I did not want him back, there was nothing going on and that he had an obligation to me and his child.

Now I talk to her when she is around. It is much better that way.

No dont be. If he really believes that he needs to buy the mom a car to help her out so she can use it for her and her/his child, then that is ok. However the car he buys MUST be put into HER name only! Have him buy a used car out right and do not let him cosign for a car or put it at all in his name (in case she has an accident, doesnt get insurance for the car, etc. to avoid legal problems). She must get her own car insurance and she must take care of all the repairs. Your BF must put it all in writing that he bought the car for her and only her to use, the car will be under her name only, she will pay for and keep insurance for the car (not him), and all repairs and maintenance will be paid for by her.
Or he could just give her a large sum of money (put in writing that he is giving her (dollar amount) money as a gift to buy a car only. That is the simplest way. That way it will show he is helping support his child.

You shouldn't be worried if he made the promise when they were together. It really has nothing to do with you. It's okay to keep promises.

No. You should be glad he keeps his word and wants to help the mother of his child. This shows he is a good man in my opinion.

You have to trust him. Sure enough he had some feelings for his baby mama some time ago, but he's with you now. You have to understand thats its you and nobody else.

I CAN SEE YOU HAVE TRUST ISSUES, SO INSTEAD OF MAKING THIS MANS LIFE HELL JUST LEAVE HIM. YOU NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHY YOU HAVE TRUST ISSUES AND DEAL WITH THEM BEFORE YOU HIT THE DATING POOL AGAIN.
