color glaze ur hair...it wont damage your hair like dye(and it'll give u shine.). You can't strip highlights out...it's not haircolor. Go to sally beauty and buy Jazzing by Clairol.

You can't strip the color from the highlights - that was done when the highlights were put in. Stripping the color will make the highlights lighter and more noticable, not to mention that hair might fall out. You should be able to just dye your hair using a regular hair dye. Personally I would go to a good color stylist and have them do the dye job. A good stylist will be able to cover up the highlights so they grow out well. You don't have to wait and let it grow out. I have my hair highlighted and then have the highlights covered up all the time. The key here, is to have it done by a professional.

Do you have highlights or lowlights in your hair. If you have highlights that means that your streaks are lighter than the rest of your hair and you will have to color over it to match your hair color and you may have to fill it first depending how light it is..if it is lowlights then it is darker than your natural hair and you have to use a color remover or a lightener. either way i would go see a professional. They know what is best for the hair to keep it from getting damaged. It will be worth it in the long run... good luck

it depends if your hair color was permanent or temporary. If it had bleach in it as a fixor then it's called permanent and has to grow out. It can be lightened with a lifter but if you've had it in there for a long time and it hasn't lightened by now by daily shampooing it will not be lightening anymore and will have to grow out. Some lifters will just lighten the color and encourage more red/orange. If you want orange stripes then use it. Otherwise let the hair grow out or if it's a light enough color and you want to re-color your hair to start up a NEW color then just put a brown color on top of the one you have. Or, get a short haircut and let it grow out.

I am a hairdresser and I have to agree with alot of the other answers. If you have highlights the only way to get rid of them is to cut them off or color over them. But pay the extra and have it done professionally. Your stylist should be able to color over them using a semi-permanent color without too much damage. Good Luck

There are color strippers available at any Sally's or other beauty supply store--this will also stip your natural color and the oils from your hair so be certain to prepare to color your hair again and condition, condition, condition. All chemical processing of hair is hard on its health. The best thing would be to cut your hair gradually and let your color return naturally.

if your highlights are brown, then you must go to a salon and have the color stripped out(expensive). If the highlights are blonde you can dye your hair back to the original color with a box, or for better results go to a salon

That last time I was at the salon I go to there was a girl next to me having her hair fixed from a coloring. She had dyed her hair black and her natural color was brown and they stripped her hair. Afterwards they put a treatment on it to condition it and it looked really good afterwards! You might want to ask a hair stylist though it may be very expensive or depends on your hair type.

Your better off waiting for your highlights to grow out. Too many dyes can damage your hair

you will desire a colour remover. You mentioned which you won't have the ability to attend to to pay for a expert, yet you would be spending as a lot or extra money fixing it your self, and constructive would be extra broken and probable discolored if no longer completed via a expert. additionally, on the salon, they are going to would desire to do a numerous technique (removing the colour, then coloring it blond). it does no longer be sensible for a non-expert to do it by using wear and tear it relatively is going to reason on your hair. At a salon, they are going to be waiting to do it better, and without inflicting a lot injury on your hair.
