Jesus loved the prostitute . . . and paid her well.

I've been tht prostitute. Eventually she will have to turn away from her sin. The Holy Spirit is speaking to her to do so. If she doesn't obey the Holy Spirit, she never really gave her life to Christ. She is not really a child of God.
The Bible is filled with countless examples of people who are saved and step out of the will of God. Look at King David (from David & Goliath). He was an adulterer and then killed his mistresses husband to try and cover it up. All this while he was the annointed king. God forgave him, but he paid the consequences. Read the Book of Psalms. The story of Bathsheba.
P.S. I've never been a paid prostitute or a real prostitute for tht matter. It's a matter of semantics I guess I meant to say sinner.

If she is not hurting anyone and taking care of herself, then she is trying harder than a majority of the population! Therefore she does have the Holy Spirit... but then again, doesn't everyone? She doesn't have to give up her profession and try a more enlightened path - she is on the path meant for her. And who are we to judge? I thought judgment was left up to only one person and that isn't you or me. There is nothing wrong with prostitution - only with how it is seen.

If she believes that she is doing nothing wrong, then the only spirit inside her is her own self will and wrong thinking.

However, many people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior still struggle to get right with God. She could feel that there is no other way to make a living, which could be dealt with by having a strong Christian mentor to help her step down the narrow path toward God.

So may new Christians are hugged and loved following accepting Jesus Christ and then left alone after that. We as "older" Christians need to continue to help and guide them after the fact so that it is more difficult for them to fall away from what they have accepted as truth.

Then we know that she maybe only wants to have a Holy Spirit and she should try to really accept the Holy Spirit into her heart.

Until she gives up her sinful life style, she is being dishonest with herself when she says that the Holy Spirit Is with her.

Biblically speaking, Jesus teaches that the only way you can be filled with the Holy Spirit is to move closer to God, and the only way you can move closer to God is by accepting him as your Lord and Savior and "Repenting". "Repenting" means to not only ask for forgiveness, but turn away from your wrong doings and trusting in God for the rest. So, to answer your question -- If someone is living in sin knowingly and refusing to "repent", it would be next to impossible for the Holy Spirit to live in that person because God and Sin can NOT exist in the same place. I certainly am in no position to judge, as I would suggest all that have sinned to stray from, but would suggest prayer for this person and a good christian support group.

Maybe she just honestly feels that way. Maybe she feels that she is a good person and can seperate herself from her bad situation by making herself feel closer to her god. There are famous prostitutes in the bible and maybe she is relating to them somehow. Its really hard to say what she is thinking without more info, and maybe she just needs to lay off the crack.

Then she lies. If she truly had the Holy Spirit within her, then she would have the power and ability to stop what she did in the past.
Nobody is judging, but it is also just that simple, and she could be struggling with it, but that doesn't mean that the Holy Spirit is in her

I would try not to judge her lest I be judged! This is a very complex situation and you are probably not aware of all the facts. IE: economics ... psych .... past?

Offer help to a different direction but don't condemn others
Thank goodness Jesus walked among sinners like us.

If she has the holy spirit in her, she woudn't keep doing it, so apparently, she's just trying to convince herself.
