Hawaii, without a doubt. Skip Oahu, unless you are visiting Pearl Harbor. Oahu can been seen in one day. See if you can land there, spend the day, then head to Maui or Kauai'i. Those islands are more islandy, and less like the big city that is Honolulu.

The Sheraton in Kanapali is fantastic, but expensive. Ocean views are probably $450 or better a night by now. But, during whale season, with the right room, they are close enough to wake you when they surface.

If that is too much $, consider the Maui Kai condos just down the street. Probably 1/2 to 1/3 the price. Very few kids, and smaller, but never a problem getting to the pool. Spend the extra on ocean side there.

If you have never been to Hawaii, Ill say this. If you go tomorrow, you will wish you had gone yesterday.

Before you go, pick up a book called Maui, Oahu, or Kauai'i revealed. It lists everything. From hotels and condos, to points of interest, including hard to find places right down to the mile markers to find them. It will even give you an Internet access code for further research.

Aloha.

I got married in Jamaica in Jan, honeymooned in Bahamas. Loved Jamaica!!! Bahamas was good. Best friend honeymooned in St. Lucia in April, and loved it. Been to Oahu many years ago, would rather go to another island.

Find a place that has activities that you both like to do. I don't feel it's worth upgrading the room, you're either not there alot, or otherwise occupied. Spend you $$ on other things.

Personally, my wife and I took a 14 day cruise of the Carribean. We loved that.

I'd also think about the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. A cruise to Alaska (or you can go cheap and take the Alaska Marine Highway), Nashville, TN area, Puerta Vallarta, Mexico...

If money is no object, personally I have always wanted to see Scotland...there are some cool looking tours of there.

http://www.collettevacations.com has a tour of the Rocky Mountains by train for about $1500 a person that I thought looked awsome.

I have always wanted to see Banff National Park in Alberta. I wanted to stay at the Fairmont hotel there. Check out the picture, it looks awsome http://www.fairmont.com/banffsprings/ there are several information websites about the park if you are interested. Just google "banff national park".

Las Vegas is always a lot of fun. There are more bars that you can count if you like to drink. Gambling abound if you like to lose money. There are some excellent shows to watch at night and pleanty of fine dining. You can find some desert ATV tours that look pretty cool. The Hoover dam is close by...

If you have something that interests the two of you, go with that. If you like civil war history, do a tour of some civil war battlefields. If you like NASCAR, go to two or three consecutinve races. If you want to see some National Parks, rent a car or rent an RV, buy an atlas, and go where the road takes you for a few weeks.

I forgot...during the winter there is an ice hotel in Quebec that I thought looked awsome. It is spendy, but I think it would be worth seeing once: http://www.icehotel-canada.com/en/index.en.php

The possibilities are endless.

Here is my two cents.

I think it really depends on your personality.

I get stir crazy so quick that I could never go on a vacay/honeymoon that was just laying on the beach all week. I would go crazy and feel like I wasted my money.

When I get married I want to go somewhere touristy where I can go out and explore/play.

I worked at Disneyworld while I was in college and think that I might go there on my honeymoon just because I know it will keep me busy and I know the special treatment that honeymooners get at WDW (Just make sure you buy the bride and groom ears and wear them. Trust me.).

Otherwise, I would like to go to Europe or somewhere historic that has beauty and all sorts of things to go and do.

Or, I have always wanted to visit Hawaii. It's touristy enough for me that I wouldn't be bored.

I pretty propose going to Aruba. the reason being on the grounds that's a relentless 80 two ranges year-around and that is exterior the typhoon belt. That way, you not at all ought to fret approximately your honeymoon starting to be a catastrophe. there is an all inclusive hotel that we are going to be going to for ours in January, and after doing quite fairly some examine, it has not something yet great comments. Even our holiday agent reported he's been there 5 circumstances and has continually enjoyed it. The hotel call is Occidental Grand Aruba. you should examine it out online. :) desire this permits.

personally, if if I was going to have a honeymoon today --I'd take a cruise. NCL has freestyle meals --which means you can eat any time you're hungry instead of other lines where it's scheduled. . .

or you can stay in and do nothing and have room service

or you can do lots of activities. on board.

at the ports --if you do the more adventurous excursions you'll meet younger people.

it depends too what you like to do --hawaii? lake tahoe? canada? australia? europe?

is there anywhere you've always wanted to go? is there anything you've always wanted to do? bungee jump? ride in a hot air balloon? do you have ancestoral history somewhere you could visit?

best wishes to ya!

Jamaica is a great getaway. There are many fabulous resorts there and that you can check out. The Sandals chain offers fabulous honeymoon packages...so does the Superclubs chain of hotels. All in all the Caribbean is always a good pick.

Thailand is your next destination. Cheap...easy to excess. Beaches all around. Very romantic place like Hua Hin or Cha-Am Beach. Check with your travel agent for special package. normally they will upgrade you for accommodation and special amenities if you notify the hotel in advance as honeymooner. Congratulations!

You could go to St. Thomas, or Hawaii, or even Porto Viarta. All are VERY beautiful. Porto Viarta is a lot cheaper, more BANG for your buck !!!
