You can say you are.
But if you are saying you are Christian and anything else, you have not understood Christ's gift nor are you following God's commandment--that one should worship no false gods.
Granted, the Tao is a concept or principle, not a god. Yet it is opposed to Christianity in that it believes there is a bit of evil in good--and God is all good, so to believe that God is a bit evil is inconsistent with Christianity (or Judaism).
As far as being a Buddhist and a Taoist, though, that does not seem problematic, theologically/philosophically/conceptually.

I completely understand that cause i was also going through a wiccan/christian/taoist phase not too long ago. What people should realize is that RELIGION is man made, and isnt absolute. What you believe might make you want to be exclusive to one religion, but i find that my beliefs skim over many types. So once you throw religion aside and realize its just the basic principles and God (or something else) that defines you, then you can be as many or as few religions as you want.

Some people believe there is no contradiction in practicing more than 1 religion at once, but, others do.
Taoists would see no contradiction, but, Christians do, & the reason why is because Taoism is polytheistic(numerous deities), while Christianity is monotheistic(1 God).

Can't speak for every religion, but as for Chrisitanity, no. Chrisitians believe the only way to God is through Jesus Christ. Any other way is contrary to His word. However, it's fine to learn about other religions and be knowledgable on that topic.
