Would you mind (at all) if it were me who inherited it. I don't mean to be tiresome and please don't think I'm being pushy but I think I deserve it.

I mind!! I was hoping to be the one to inherit it. And I don't want to share. Go search for another planet in another galaxy, this one is mine!!! :)

That's okay by me, but you'll have to wait a while until we get rid of all the un-meek people first. They have to be gone before you inherit the earth, because meek people can't deal with all the pushy types that are causing problems at the moment. But it shouldn't take long at the rate things are going.

This is one of Jesus' Beatitudes in Matthew chapter 5. "Happy are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth."
First of all, it's Meek, not Weak. Meek means you could mess some up, but you choose not to. That applies to most of us. You could buy a gun and start shooting, but you won't. This is not because you are weak, but because you are meek.
So be glad of that.
When will we get our chance? When Christ returns, of course.

The Bible can be a tricky thing. Sometimes it contradicts itself.As far as inheriting the Earth, be careful, you may get what you wish for,someday: then what?
