You run it through a filter that removes the voice range frequencies. It is not perfect and you can usually hear a faint voice in the background. You will need a sound editing program. Search the internet for one.

Maybe karaoke player/studio or power karaoke i think it lets you take of the singer but then you have to type the words in.

Nero has the option of the voice removal but it dont work well with all the songs . Also, there are various voice removal plugins that work with winamp and some other popular players.

You will need to run it through a mixer, and it might be cheaper to just find the karoake version.
