An A2 visa belongs to a low-level employee of a diplomatic mission and his or her dependents. You cannot work outside your embassy with an A2 visa.

If you have an A2 visa you clearly have ties to the Consulate for your home country. I am guessing that you are the family member of a civil servant from your home country. You should contact the Protocol Officer (or Liason Officer, or whatever your country calls them) to find out what you need to do to work here. Should you decide to work here, it can impact your diplomatic status as well as having repercussions that affect the person that is here working on behalf of your country.

You can get an EAD card (Employment Authorization), but again this usually has to be done through your home country's consulate due to the potential political ramifications.
