A) call discover at 1-800-DISCOVER

or

B) Pull your credit report and see if it says "open" or "Paid/Closed"

Its actually a GOOD Thing to keep it open instead of closed--- sounds like you have had it for awhile so the HISTORY will help you out... plus the fact that its a 0 balance will help your utilization ratio!

Visit https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp to order a free copy of your credit report. This is the US government authorized site. The report is free and their are no strings attached. The account should show a status. My closed Discover card account reads "Account closed at consumers Request, Closed or paid account zero balance" on my Equifax report. The report also includes a list of accounts sorted by status (open or closed) (current or past due). Contact information for each creditor should also be included.

If you call there customer service team they should be able to find you by asking some security questions without having the card details. That way you can check if your account is still open or closed.
