Largely symbolic and depending upon type of dream or dream state. For example viewing a house from a path could be that youre looking for comfort/home/family. Then, depending on the condition of the home or type of home it could be a happy thought or a sad thought.
What we've experienced throughout our day/week/month....has to be filed and organized or catagorized in a normal functioning brain. As a sort of human experience filing system. Those things that affect us emotionally in our waking life ...we have say a 'pending' file...and a dormant file. If you have a current situation that hasnt been 'dealt' with...your sleeping goes to work on looking for files, symbols to sort it out, look for answers...to conclude it and file it away. Sort of defragging if you will. lol Dont want to go too deep on this but I hope that helps some. :D

Dreams themselves have no meanings.
They dont show you your future or anything.
Dreams are simply subconscious fears and desires being acted out in your sleeping mind.

If you are trying to live your life based upon dream interpretations you will find urself highly disappointed and broken apart.

Ive tried this before actually.
Just once
My life hasnt been the same since.
One of the biggest regrets of my life.

Our mind is always thinking while we are sleeping or awake. The dreams that we have, may not really relate to the subject or person in the dream, but more of a symbol of your inner most thoughts, even things that you are not aware of while you are awake. If something is bothering you that you are not aware of, most likely it will come to you in your dreams.

Strong images of a day left on the screen/slate of mind appear while sleeping called dreams. Don't try to read too much into them. Don't believe they offer insight into future etc otherwise you will end up confused.

Usually they are symbolic of events in your life. Usually triggered by what you are feeling and thinking before you go to bed.
