We both know that it's wrong.

There are many, many reasons:
1. It's illegal
2. It's not fair to people who have waited for years to become citizens the right way.
3. They have to lie and steal SS numbers and sometimes many fake IDs to stay here.
4. They don't pay taxes.
5. They get handouts that they aren't entitled to, from a system that they never payed in to.
6. They are (not all) very disrespectful and commit further crimes once they are here.
7. They (not all) refuse to assimilate.
8. The behavior that we witnessed on May 1 was reprehensible and unacceptable.

I could go on and on but I will stop there.

It's WRONG!

Yes, this country was founded on immigration and I have no problem that.

There is however a correct way in doing that and we have established laws for that reason. Especially in today's world, we MUST know who is coming into the country, why and where they are. If we have open borders, we are asking for more occurences of 9/11.

America is a great country and I am proud to be an American, I welcome those that follow procedure to come here. Those that come across the border ILLEGALLY, must be dealt with and sent back.

Another solution to one of our country's problems...
Bring all our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle, and some ammo and ship him to Iraq .

Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military.

Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it.

After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot.

This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves.
If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway without the canteen, rifle, or ammo.
Problem solved

Not in this day and age.... IT IS A CRIME against all the legal citizens of the USA.

It is STEALING and they are not immigrants, they are not emigrating, they are committing a CRIME and they are DESERTING their people and their country.

They are ILLEGAL ALIENS, and that is the only term that is proper to use to identify these criminals.

Freedom and rights have to be earned, fought for, and then protected.

Foreigners can't acheive that for their countries by DESERTING their people and their country to steal from the USA.

No, People should follow the law and be here legally. This is a nation of immigrants, no one other than native Americans are truly from here, our nation is based on others coming here to have a better life ...
With that said, the USA needs to make it easier for people to apply for visas to enter, and not have double standards regarding Hispanics and Europeans.

No it's not right. When immigrants go about it the right way, then they are screened. When they come here illegally no one knows who they are. If they bring diseases or if they are some kind of criminal. There is no way to track them down if they are here illegally.

Actually no. The prime reason is it's illegal. And it makes a mockery of those who go through all the steps to come into the country legally.

No, they are breaking the law. Reminder 65% of all those incarcerated in LA county jail for violent crimes are illegal aliens. Illegals should be executed regardless of age, have no protection under the constitution, denied citizenship for anchor babies, and have all their assets seized.

Then we can get mean to them.
