For those of you who believe in an afterlife, do you believe in a before-life? Do you think your spirit existed before you were conceived? If not, how did your spirit come to exist?

Something to think about..... if our spirits are going to exist forever after we die, isn't it possible that we existed eternally before we were born onto this earth?

I'm not necessarily talking about reincarnation in terms of having a human form. I'm talking about our spirits in heaven.

to believe in an immortal spirit, or soul means no beginning, and no end, so in other words, we have always been and always will be.

So, I believe that we have been in the before life just as I believe in the after life. But once again, belief is basically an opinion held by the person who has the belief. So what I believe is correct to me but may not be correct you.

I totally believe our spirits existed before coming to earth. We have external life, meaning our spirits are there forever. We reincarnate if we want to, but don't have to.

That's a really hard question, isn't it? Perhaps my spirit existed as part of the creator, but I don't think I was human before.

No, I don't. I believe that the moment I was conceived, God gave me my spirit of life. When God said He knew us from the beginning, it's because He knows the future. He knows the future and He knows the choices we will make in our lives. He does not pre-determine it, but He knows what we will decide.

Is all a big fog to me! Who says we have a spirit? Can't be proven, but then neither can a before or after life. "Faith" isn't proof. Its just very human wishful thinking.

The spirit came into existence the very instant that the imagination thought of it.

As co-creators with God, we have no "before" life. But, we WERE a thought in the mind of God.
