The same God who murdered the first born of Egypt, including the cattle, after forcing Pharoah to harden his heart?

The God who murdered 42 kids for calling his prophet "Baldy"? (II Kings 2: 23-24)

The same God who decided that unbelievers like Gandhi, Socrates and Buddha should get the same fate as people like Adolf Hitler? (Revelations 21:8)

The same God who forced His "only begotten son" to be nailed to a cross as a sacrifice?

Is this the God you claim is Love?

Yep, the same one who is bi-polar with terrible mood swings ... one day he is killing anybody and everybody, the next day he claims to love people. You never know what side of the bed he will wake up from.

What is he doing right now? Besides looking down at his people kill each other in his name? Looking down and loving them so much that he can't visit them?

I'm sure all the phronemaphobes will have a bible verse or two to disputatiously lay claim to the "truth". Me, I've been a freethinker for nearly forty years, and it feels great. Just live by the rule of treating folks fairly (don't need a "god" with a good/bad Mojo to tell me that). Look up the Cargo Cult to get a great overview on the invention of a deity and religion. You'll be fascinated.

God gave paroah choices like he does every one. He gave these to the first pair Adam and Eve. They chose to go there own way and making God a lier. It was not God who actually did these things . It was the attitude of the people who thought God was nothing. Why should he not show them he is the Almighty and has no begining and no end.
Jesus was Perfect when in heaven with his father. He was used as a perfect sacrafice to cleanse us from our sins. We are born in sin from the first pair. Thats how it is and was.... Some of it is hard to understand but faith will make things right in the end..

Murder is when someone is killed without judgment, execution is when the judge orders it done. You do not happen to be the judge, but you will be the judged.
Ghandi, Socrates, and Buddha did not serve the living God and have gone to their appropriate reward (according to God himself)

You are mistaken about forcing his son to be crucified. Jesus did that willingly because he wants you and me to be saved and he loves us. He died to make a way for us to be saved.
The judgment of 42 children that made fun of the Prophet of God is a warning that we need to be careful when we make fun of God's servants.
Calling these things murder makes you the judge of God as you would put yourself in a position of knowing more than he does. Personally it is not a good place to be and you might think of that before your turn to stand before him comes..

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Children, born and still born belong to the God. It is not if their (pregnant mothers) life had a challenge and they died, it is where they were with God when they died.

God did not force His Son to be sacrificed on the cross. As Jesus was in the very center of God's will...He volunteered. So that we know that He knows how it is to be over here and die. He also showed that He conquered the death and rose up. He is capable of rising up too as He promised.

He is indeed love. He loves you very much.. Is the feeling mutual?

There needs to be an update of the understanding of the scriptures...they need not be read literally in order to get to the truth. The best way to start is to throw away your concordances, to stop taking someone else's word for what the bible is trying to tell people, and to sit down and read for yourself...the most reliable part is anything in red print...Jesus' own words.

100% and this is the same God who happens to own this planet and is coming again to put it in order (according to his will) ..
Rebellion is not permitted long term in the Kingdom of God.
Children also suffer for what their fathers teach or don't teach them. For example if you teach your children that they can just live together and not get married then you have taught them directly against the owner of this planet.. He will eventually judge every person that has ever lived on this planet.. For good or bad and whether they want to or not..

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Pharaoh allowed his heart to be hardened.

The "kids" you refer to you'll learn, if you actually did research, were more like twenty-year olds. They told Elisha to "go on up, baldy" they were referring to Elijah's ascension into heaven. So now we have at least 42 young men threatening his life. Quite a different picture, huh?

Sin is sin, if you don't have it removed, you can't get into heaven.

God didn't force Jesus to die. He said Himself, if He wanted out of it, He could have 12 legions of angels take him away.

Dude relax. Things happen for a reason. God has a plan. It's not up to you. It's not up to me. It's not up to the people whom you are asking this question to. Focus on positive things. If you are using Revelations for your argument...the things in Revelations pertain to those who have not accepted. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. God is love but is also a vengeful God. 'Vengeance is mine' remember that. Cool your jets dude. Take a deep breath. You are not going to change my mind. Peace to you. On a different note: to answer your thought on "The same God who forced His "only begotten son" to be nailed to a cross as a sacrifice?" the answer to that is clearly written in John 3-16

God is love alright...

its just that God's love is not like mine or yours or anothers
...its incomprehensible...

if you believe in a God, someday you would come to know him as love

if you do not believe in God, then it there is no use for any such label, he doesn't exist

but if you are unsure if there is a God, that's when you question if God is love...

which is a good thing... some might even call that... love
