Crossing the border of ANY country without going through a legal checkpoint and adhering to the laws of both countries IS A CRIME that needs to be enforced and the violators need to be punished.

This is true of any border, anywhere in the world.

That said, I know and understand the desperate plight of poor Mexicans and my heart is with them.

What they need is not jobs in the US, that only makes them more subject to oppression.

It's guns and ammunition and military support to overthrow the corrupt and fascist overlords in Mexico City who squander the great wealth of the People of Mexico.

The leaders of Mexico are good at creating myths that continue to subject the Mexican people to lives of being poor peasants.....myths that the people, "La Raza" are one people united....... Myths that Mexico is poor.....Myths that they care about Mexicans and are doing all they can....Myths that the US has wronged Mexico and that they are victims.

These are all lies and anyone who chooses to look at the facts will see this. There is only one solution for Mexico and it involves bloodshed in Mexico City, not on the northern frontier.

Yes, yes I do. There isn't enough enforcement at the moment in my opinion. You know what's funny tho, is the Pres. didn't send any troops down there until the Minutemen (aka "vigilantes") started patrolling the borders. LOL
It took a group of Civilians to prove to the Gov. AND the country how bad it really was on the border.
Even with the troops down there it still isn't enough, we need to utilize the technology we have and get serious !!
We can build a wall that would be hard to get over/under/ or around. If the ancient Chinese can do it ....I seriously believe that modern man can definitely achieve it.

Hell yeah! Every other country protects their borders tooth and nail except us. It's only a matter of time before another 9/11 or some other crazy terrorists tries to attack again. I don't mind immigrants or tourists or anything that is good for our country. However - illegal aliens, criminals, terrorists, or general rif-raff should be kept out. This is the land that takes the downtrodden and the people who need hope, or want to make something of their lives. It's not a place to hide criminals, terrorists, or people who just want to hurt others for no good reason but their own selfish motives. We need tanks, soldiers, walls, guns and good decision making at our borders. It's our first and best defense to protect our nation.

Actually, yes. Even though you would clasify me as a liberal, I believe that, if Mexicans can get through, so can unsavory characters and trouble-makers. But I don't believe the mexicans should be punished for trying to survive. What about the Canadian border and the shorelines?

I am Canadian and I say yes.
As for those who think that terrorists are coming over the Canadian border - prove it. All the attacks in the USA were either homegrown (Oklahoma City) or came right to the States legally (9/11).
We can make a deal - you keep the guns on your side of the border and we'll keep the marijuana on our side.

Yes and not just the physical borders, but all of the illegals that get here on student or travel visas.

One hundred percent I think we should just close off the borders to this country and stop growing beans.

Gokart121 ~
Sure I would as long as they would do the same thing to OUR border to the north. People in this forum on this subject like to use the statements " WE need to protect our borders from terrorist." There are parts of our border up north where you can just step right over from Canada and be in the Untied States without anyone anywhere around for hundreds of miles, but the "Minutemen" are patrolling our borders to the south.
I really get a kick out of when African Americans are in favor of "Border Control" they were sold by their one people and sold off into slavery and brought here unwillingly. Mexicans were here thousands of years before the Anglos, as a matter of fact California was part of Mexico and the United States had to fight them several times to take control of it.
Now I know you're going to get your uneducated breed in this forum that will say "If you don't like this country, get out!" "Them there Mexicans are coming over here and stealing our jobs!" Save it Sally, This is my country, I lost a Great Grandfather, Father and two Brothers fighting wars for my country most recently my youngest brother was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq after his third tour over there. I'm entitled to an opinion more so than most, my family has paid too dear of a price for me not give my opinion. I never once heard of a college kid going to a tamato field and say "I would love to pick all those of those tomatos for $1.25 an hour. Not happening.
We are a country that grows more divided by the day. There are more undocumented Eastern Europeans here only second to Mexico and South America. There are more Polish in Chicago, Illinios than anywhere in the world next to Warsaw, Poland. But because their skin is white the go overlooked because they blend in. Thanks for the question Gokart121

Yes. I want to bring home the troops from Iraq and elsewhere. Give them some R and R. Then redeploy them to the border with housing, benefits and triple pay. And keep illegals out. We just can't afford them any more. They are draining resources meant for our lower and working classes. (yes we still have those)
