My best friend is getting married next month, and I want some ideas/opinions on a hairstyle for me.

The Details:

Here is the dress I will be wearing: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/lralou8/bridesmaid/241_3700_large.jpg

Also, I have a round face, so keep in mind I have to balance that out and not overexpose my forehead. If it makes a difference, I have straight blonde hair that hits my shoulder blades (I have been growing it out for the wedding.) with long sideswept bangs.

Note: The bride is wearing her hair down for the wedding, so the bridesmaids are going to wear our hair up (does not have to be on top of the head, just not down.). I, personally, want something I won't have to worry about all day and night (since I am the MOH).

Also note: I live in a different city than the wedding is in so I won't be able to do a "test run".

I had one thought on the hairstyle: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/lralou8/bridesmaid/mw001.jpg

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I love the hairstyle!

It will go well with any face. I am attending a wedding this weekend too and I am doing a similar hair style. It looks very romantic and yes, it's something you don't have to worry about all day and night.

Have fun!

It looks very pretty. But you said you had straight hair - have you considered that maybe your hair will not be able to hold the curls and waves all night for the wedding? If you are posing for pictures under bright lights, eating and dancing, etc. and perspire then your hair could end up becoming flat towards the end of the night.

You could try a simpler chignon, but maybe add little decorations in the hair to spice it up. Personally, I've always loved a fancy french braid, you can add a sparkly hair pin in the back.

Love the gown, the hairstyle is too sloppy for someone's wedding, just because someone wore it on a red carpet doesn't make it acceptable. How about something a little more polished? Try a simple french twist or a simple knot at the back of your head like in your picture but sleeker without all the messy hair in front.

I like the dress and hair style. You could still go to you stylist for a 'test run' and have someone (perhaps the stylist) take pictures of your favorites to take to the stylist there. I've had the same issue (both straight blond hair and traveling to be in a wedding), and just went with the sylist my friend booked for me. They did a beautiful updo w/ tendrils and the most awesome hairspray. It was still in place the next morning.

I like that hairstyle, but for me personally it wouldn't be comfortable... I would feel like it was falling out. And if you hair is shoulder length, it may not be enough to do that style to it unless you have fake hair added on. :)

Try sideswept bangs with half up and half down loose curls.. And a pretty clip or something that will match the dress. :) Or even no clip, just wrap the hair around the rubberband.

Yep, I think you should go with the hairstyle in the picture you posted. It's not too formal (since bride is doing her hair down) but still a little something to it too keep it up.

You need t go to the salon and just get it done. you would not believe what those people can do. look at magazine and bring the hair styles you want there. You need to trust the people that do it all the time. that is when i get the best hair cut, dolor etc.

Your hairstyle looks very nice with your gown... try to put an accent on your hair too...

honestly I like the way the girl in the picture has her hair. That is very classy and easy to do.
