When someone applies for SS benefits the SS administration runs a check to see if that individual has any outstanding warrants. I have had several occasions where the SS administration would call to verify warrant information. To the best of my knowledge the only type of warrant that stops SS benefits is a felony warrant. This needs to be resolved before he will be able to receive his benefits. Also, the SS administration will tell the agency with the felony warrant where the individual has listed his address to receive benefits. :)

I recently started receiving SS benefits & one of the questions they ask is if you have any outstanding warrants. I guess they found out about him. Have him call a lawyer & see if there is a way to resolve the situation.

It makes sense to me. You can't honestly expect the government to send him checks, when that same government is trying to arrest him for a felony charge. Hello!?
