Your son could have a hernia and can be very serious. If the knot is right above and alittle to one side. If it is right above not sure. when you apply pressure it hurts more. Yes i feel you should take him to the doctor. Becky LPN

Yes--take him to the Doc. If his testicles didn't drop (like normal) and now he's having more discomfort, it may be a tortioned testicle..(that's when a testicle has wrapped itself around and has cut off the blood flow to the testicle.) My son had a skateboarding accident, got hit in the crotch, and a week later had to have a testicle removed. He was 16 at the time. He's now 21 and about to be a dad....so life goes on with just one testicle, but he was older when he lost it, and already had plenty of male hormones. If your boy is still an infant, have him checked out. Please.

Better safe than sorry! Not fair to make the little guy suffer needlessly. Would set your mind at ease, as well. One way or the other.
Call the nurses desk and speak to your doctor's nurse about your son's condition and symptoms.

YES, In fact take him to the emergency room! there could be a possibilty something during the surgery may have been left behind or.... it could possibly be a cancerous growth, growin exponentially. Let the hospital see that your son is in pain and needs medical attention NOW!

Even if it is something very minor, it would only be re-assuring and give you some peace of mind if you did take him to the hospital. And God forbid, it is something serious- it will be dealt with soon. You should take him- I would.

Take him to the hospital. What you see is not normal, and that can mean some very bad news for a little guy.

Good luck!

call the pediatrician or the urologist handling his condition first. They may want to see him or talk to you about it before you bring him to an ER. Who knows, you might just get fast-tracked for surgery.
