Any recipes too would be helpful. I've heard of a very euphoric relaxation with this tea, I'm just not sure what kind to get, and where to get them.

Plant Family: Papaveraceae

Common Names: Californian Poppy

Origin: Poppies are perennials. There are varieties that will grow almost anywhere in North America. There are many annual varieties, but the perennial ones are most commonly used for healing.

History: The leaves were chewed by California Indians for toothache, but the Cahuilla Indians regarded it as a poison which was only handled by witchdoctors.

Tradition:

Poppy seed pods are used in prosperity charms
The seeds are added to food to aid in getting pregnant
It is said that to find the answer to a question, write it in blue ink on a piece of white paper. Place the paper inside a poppy seed pod and put it beneath your pillow. The answer will come to you in a dream.

When you ingest any foods containing poppy seeds be aware that you will test positive for the class of illegal drugs called Opiates. So I hope you don't have to undergo a drug test soon after eating or drinking anything made from poppy seeds. The poppy is where Opium, Cocaine, Heroin, etc. comes from. So just be aware of that.I sell urine drug test kits so I know what I am talking about here.

Hey MUCKRAKE got me!. Cocaine is not from poppy seeds as I said above. I stand corrected. But you will test positive for the Opiates so just beware.

be warned that poppy seeds in large amounts will show up as a opiate in a drug test

COACH says he knows what he is talking about but, HEY COACH I GOTCHA - Cocaine does not come from poppies it comes from the coca plant.
