Whenever I have to knock off a few pounds, I just eat three Lean Cuisines [or other frozen diet meals - whatever is on sale at the grocery] a day. Normal activities and about 900 calories a day - weight comes off and I feel just fine.

Also, I have a dog and the daily walks seem to take care of the cardio needs just fine - at least 1/2 hour of steady walking.

Good for you!

Do not eat as much as you use to, eat smaller portions and also, exercise. The most simple exercise you can actually do is take a walk around your local park. If the park is too big, try to determine a cut-off point. But, that can help. If you have a bike, you can go bike riding around the park as well.
If you work in a building with a lot of steps and need to take the elevator to get to your office, once or twice a week, try walking up to your office and down from it. That can help your leg muscles and circulate the blood better. I prefer you start to stretch before doing that if you are out of shape with the whole exercise routine.
I mean, when you see that you have lost, even one pound, you will start feeling healthier and start to feel better about yourself. Which, in turn, will make you want to do even more for yourself. Sometimes losing 1 pound can make as much as a difference then losing 5 or 10 pounds.
So, I hope you start before the "winter blues" comes in.
Good Luck.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Mood deterioration is a psychological problem. Push yourself hard to start back your daily work-out, with in a week's time you'll start liking it.
Having controlled diet and regular exercise will keep you FIT and HEALTHY.

Note: Good that you have not put on weight but I bet its very difficult to go down once you put on weight. So "Precaution is better than cure". Start exercising today!

I would suggest checking out the Isagenix program. It is extremely healthy food with tons of nutrients your body needs. You will have energy to burn after being on it for a while. Check out their website.
