My biggest problem was trying to find something that would fit me! Color was the least of my problems! ;) That said, the godmother should be dressed for going to a church-no bare shoulders, no short skirts, no excessive cleavage hanging out. As for Mommy, wear something conservative, comfortable and easy to clean. You'll be on your feet a lot during the day, so good shoes are a must. You may have to forgo fashion and think how a banker would dress, not Nicole Kidman.
Enjoy your Christening!

I recently went to a baptism and the mother was wearing smart, casual clothes but she looked great. She had black, 3 1/4 length trousers and a short-sleeved black jacket. She tied a colourful scarf around her hair and she looked fab! You don't have to dress up, just wear something comfortable but smart!

Everyone should dress in their finest clothes. A dress in pastels would be nice but a pant suit would be okay too. depending on what church it is at. The baby should wear a christening gown and bonnet.

I say go with your gut. Some familes over do it and some show up in jeans and shorts. I'd say a nice outfit that you would wear to church in appropriate. A pant suit is acceptable - like something you would wear to the office is fine.

Anything will do, pants are fine, light or dark is fine. Just do your best to look smart and I'd avoid anything low cut. I remember a priest once telling me how disconcerting it was to be presented with lots of cleavage on the altar.

times are different now, you can wear anything form a dress to a pant suit i guess it depends on what kind of church you attend, but since it is a celebration i would suggest light to medium colors....

Something nice and conservative would be appropriate. Same for the Godmother.
