And is the tree of life necessary for us to become full Gods?

Jesus said "ye are gods". You'd be surprised how many Christians don't know that.

The "tree of life" is code for the channels through which prana flows in the human body. You realize your full potential by reversing the natural flow of these energy currents from downwards to upwards.

First find your Guru.

some hindu religions have far out interpretations about 'tree of life' as if our selves is the outflowing river

but as a god, or the power of life and death in choice that affects others, normally we do not recognize our potential

we could if we expanded our definition of neighbor and love
