I need a term project idea for an EE class...?

The class is Signals and Systems (LTI) and the term project should involve MATLAB. Any ideas???

Show how a noisy image can be cleaned up by interpolating the coefficients of its' 2-D DFT with a smooth 'fitting function' and then doing an inverse DFT on the result.

It's a technique called 'super resolution' and you should be able to find references to it in your library and all over the Web.
