So my best guy friend and I used to hook up, and he liked me and I completely didn't think I liked him in return. time has passed, and he has moved on and has found a girl, who is, in short... an ignorant selfish and horrible *****. and I realize now, that I did like him and i missed my chance.
is there anything I can do to show him i'm the girl for him and he needs to drop the dumb girl?

Of course! Just continue to be there for him as his best friend. Don't bad talk the other girl, but listen to him if he has problems. It would be better for the two of you if he also came to the conclusion on his own, that the two of you would be good together. You can hint to him subtly that you really were a bone head and took your relationship with him for granted. But, helping to break him up from someone else just leaves a bad stain on you, don't do that.

You need to tell him how you feel about him, and leave out the part about how you feel about his b**** of a gf, and let him make the decision. If you trash his gf, he's just going to think you are jealous and trying to "win" him over. While you may be the better choice for him, he might not see it like that anymore. You could've missed your chance, but you'll never know unless you confess how you feel. And make sure you don't just want what you can't have. Be sure your feelings are genuine for him.

Ask him first if he really likes the dumb *****. If he says something serious about the girl than there is nothing that you can do. If he says he doesn't really know that get busy on him girl.

Let him know how you feel about him without trashing the other woman, cause that just makes you look like a *****. If he chooses you, the mature you he sees in front of him, you're home free.

How much does he like this other girl?
If he has fallen for her pretty hard, interfering and trying to break them up might only back-fire and make him dislike you. If he's having doubts about her, then be GENTLE- don't try to force them apart. See if he still likes you first.

Sorry but you might have blown your chance unless you can find something to draw him away from her and towards you. Which might cause you to be like the girl he is which it sounds like you despise

JUST BE HONEST WITH HIM AND KEEP IT REAL. I WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION. WE HAVE NOW BEEN MARRIED FOR 5 YEARS NOW BUT TOGETHER A TOTAL OF 10. SO I HAVE PERSONALLY HAVE NO REGRETS TELLING HIM MY FEELINGS AND STUFF.

i totally had the same problem as this. i sat him down and told him that i had feelings for him and i wanted him to give me a chance. he did and we have been dating for almost 2yrs now. so just talk to him and hopefully he will understand. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
