Everytime I have been stunned I get knocked back a foot or two. Everytime I have been tazed I take the five seconed ride to the floor in intense pain. No floppin!
Folks, the M26/X26 Police Taser and the M18 civilian Taser are some of the best defesive devices on the market. Prior to the Taser all you had was Pepper Spray and Batons. Both of those got just as much flack. And what's worse is neither one had the ability to control a violent subject like the Taser does.
As far as teens and kids - were you there? It's kind of hard to judge why anyone does somthing unless you were there with them. If you haven't been in a similar situation you have no room to talk and if you have you should be careful what you say. Teens are not kids - and sothing you may not realize about Taser is that it is extremely safe and will instantly lock your muscular system by interupting the nerves that control it.
In other words if you are a "teen" with a broken bottle threatening to kill yourself and the cops have one chance to stop you..... Thank them later.

the m26 tazer is a valuable tool in law enforcement. If you look at the stats across the country you will soon realize that since the issue of this less than lethal tool that the injuries and deaths of suspects and officers has dramatically decreased. And as far as teenagers and children go... Take a walk in some of these locations where the crime rates are hi and you will see that you have 12 and 13 yearolds out there pushing and selling drugs, committing robberies, thefts, you name it. Society has changed and some of our youth have gotten out of control. Does a cop wish to tazer a 11 year old...NO..... but in the real world on the street an 11 year old is more likely to squeeze the trigger than the average adult not hiped on drugs. The adult you can at least reason with and usually he or she has something to lose.. The child/teen on the other hand usually has it on their mind that all the will get is a slap on the hand..if they get caught.
An yes your body does stiffin up. The tazer consists of 50,000 volts, and 26 watts. if you are curious on stats look on the main site.. DGGTazer

So, when you have an out-of-control criminal, what do you suggest the police do? They use stun guns instead of bullets or billy clubs. They don't pull them out and use them for fun. They are used to protect the officers and the criminals.
I guess you've never known anyone in law enforcement? Think about how you'd feel if your loved one were trying to get handcuffs on someone who kept swinging their fists or a weapon and refusing to cooperate. They also use them when someone won't show their hands. They have no way of knowing whether or not that person has a weapon that they're getting ready to use.

you know when a large person is disobeying and refusing to follow a police officers instruction using the stun gun is alot safer on the person and the officer than grabbing them and fighting them to the ground.
So yes use on "teens" I have seen teens larger than me.
Next if you flop of not depends on how you react, I have seen a few people that will just stand and look at you, ( we have a police LT that you could tazer and he would stand there and look at you.

You would be doing that. While stun guns have made it easier for police to subdue people without shooting them with a gun, it has also created a situation where abuse and overuse is rampant. Police are stunning people who are slow to respond to commands or for failing to look sufficiently frightened. This is one of the most dire trends in our country and surely to create a huge backlash in the future. Most police departments have gotten along just fine for years without having to electrocute traffic stops, but if you have them and are able to hid behind the law....why not use it.

No you would not be flopping around like a fish. The use of a taser would short out your motor skills leaving you incapable of moving. But if the taser is not working properly then it reverts to a "pain compliance" tool in which it'll just hurt a lot, but leave you capable of using your limbs. You'll just have to work past the pain.

It's pretty funny to see! It doesn't injure you, but its multiple quick surges. The best part is, when cops are being trained, they have to be stunned by them as well (it's to help them understand what's going on and to better operate it according to their bodies reaction). I suppose it's all fair if they get the stun first. Plus, I'd rather be stunned than shot.

would you rather they hit them with batons until they stop moving or maybe they should shoot them. stun gun is the best thing that law enforcement has adopted. and you dont flop on the ground your muscles tense up so you cant move or walk plus i would imagine some pain is involved but they dont do it randomly so you get that or the club if you resist.
