i looked into nutristystem and jenny craig and it is way too expensive for me. when i go to the market i see that lean cuisine, WW smart ones and healthy choice meals are often on sale at a good price. has anyone of you had success eating one of these frozen meals for lunch and dinner? i was thinking of doing that along with a healthy cereal for breakfast with some fruit and veggies in between meals. i have a problem with portion control and i am frequently in a hurry so i was thinking that this may be a good thing for me.

I've done Nutrisystems, and am now doing Jenny Craig because Nutrisystems food sucked.

Yes, your basic idea will work. You'd need to spend a little time planning your menu out to try and balance everything like they do. Every meal should have a small healthy entre with several healthy sides. Pack on the veggies at lunch and dinner, like steamed veggies or salads. Make sure to get milk or non-fat yogurt in there too.

Also make sure you allow yourself a couple of snacks a day.

The nice thing about Jenny Craig is they give you the entres, and the menus. You supplement it with the stuff like veggies, fruit, milk, cheese, etc. They tell you what to have with what meals. You don't have to follow exactly, but you should substitute like things like a cup of milk instead of yogurt, or steamed mixed veggies instead of steamed carrots, etc.

This is nothing you can't do yourself, and in fact, if you want some sort of program to help you with examples and planning, weight watchers would do the job nicely and is much cheaper.

Exercise or no exercise you won't be able to lose the weight if you don't cut your food intake but we all know that's pretty hard, right? A good appetite suppressant can help you out big time but it has to be natural or you can get into serious heath problems.

I lost 38 lbs in 2 months by using garcinia cambogia extract (FDA approved 100% natural). In my first month 26 and then 12 the second month. I was an emotional eater and these supplements changed my life. They act like an appetite suppressant so I didn't feel like eating anymore. Not hungry anymore -> Lower calories -> Lose weight, simple as that. I did no exercises just 20 minutes walks 5 days a week.

It's been 4 months since I lost the weight and I did not gain any pounds back, actually I lost another 5 lbs (I stop taking them after I lost the weight). If you want to take a look here is a website where you can find discounts: http://www.garciniapromo.com I got them 30% off from here. Hope this helps!

I just started Nutrisystem a week and a half ago. I've used it before to lose weight and thought I do it again. They've added some new foods and these new foods are so foul-tasting, I wondered if they were spoiled -- until I went to the community discussion group and saw all of the other people complaining about the same food. There's no reason that you can't lose weight on the frozen dinners -- just make sure you don't consume more than 1200 calories per day, watch the sodium, drink 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day, and exercise. Me? I just called Nutrisystem and cancelled my membership -- I'm going to try Dr. Oz instead.

Look into the 5 day diet. If you have problems controlling your portions, this is the book for you. You eat 3 meals a day, limiting your pasta and such, that digest quickly, and eat lots of fruits and veggies throughout the day. You never go hungry. It's based on the theory that your body is always working, burning calories digesting those veggies and such, that it doesn't have time to store fat.

As far as those frozen dinners, you should check the box for calories and sodium. You may not get a lot of fat, but might be trading it for other bad stuff. I never get full from those meals, so you might end of eating 2 boxes every meal (not good.)

It all depends on your diet now, and what you're willing to do to lose weight. Sometimes it's not about an expensive plan, just better choices.

I think their food is pretty tasty (the four cheese pizza is delicious), and they are definitely much better for you than regular frozen meals, but they can be pretty spendy if you are eating them every day. Try taking some time out to make yourself some healthy meals (home cooking is the best thing for weight loss!) and use the lean cuisines when you just don't have the time or you want to rest.

Seems like a great idea. Watch for sodium and fat.

Lunch = 200-250 calories ideally

Dinner = 200 -270 calories

Add any non-starchy vegetable (no corn or potato) to the meal and eat 6 times a day snacks = 100 calories fruit (ex. 1 cup grapes), vegetables (1 cup carrots), lowfat carbs (thinsations 100 calories packs or baked chips) and protein (low fat yogurt)

In the mood for some sort of hot meal? Make a enormous pot of veggie bean soup, divide into two-cup containers, and store inside freezer. Before bed, place a container within the fridge, then grab it before heading out the door every day.
