Yep it's possible. I've done it before. When you freeze them though, you gotta make sure that the package is sealed air-tight to prevent freezer burn. Then whenever you want, just take out of the freezer, heat it up in the microwave for a couple of secs, and VOILA...perfectly warm, soft krispy kreme doughnuts...

Hope that helps...

Hey, I just read the additional details you wrote... They won't be as fresh without being in a fridge, but they will still be quite tasty. It should be fine if you buy them on Saturday and serve them on Monday morning. Just try to keep them some place cool. If that doesn't work, then try going to buy donuts on Monday morning. Gluck! .... A 2 day old donut doesn't taste as good as a fresh, hot donut right off the conveyor belt. Just buy more donuts. The hot sign is on several times a day.

It will never be as fresh as it was when it was first made, but you can slow the process by storing the donut air-tight with a slice of bread.

Yes, But be aware that the life cycle for frozen cooked pastry is only three months. Not an exact science but rule of thumb.

They have never lasted long in this house to even have leftovers the next day. So I don't know.

Don't know... doughnuts don't last long in my house... they're usually gone as soon as you set the box on the table.

Why don't you try it out?
