The history of pipe(s) come from the ancient world when the pipe was invented and reinvented around the world. The earliest evidence is the Dudeen of Irish origin, made from clay.

N. J. Conte, in 1795, successfully produced pencils.

Dr. E. O. Smith of Albany invented tpencil sharpener.

1795, the Nicholas Jacques Conte (a French officer in Napoleon's army) patented the modern method of kiln-firing powdered graphite with clay to make graphite rods for pencils.

invented in 1564 when a huge graphite (black carbon) mine was discovered in Borrowdale, Cumbria, England.

pipes date way back, ancient civilizations. We don't know who was first.
