My husband and I have known each other for 11 years. He was involved with drugs when he was 17 years old and was arrested and put in prison. At 22 years old he had been clean for a while and was doing very well. He and I started dating and got married.

My husband was on probation and got arrested for literally being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was released by the police because they found out he had nothing to do with this particular situation. But because he was arrested, that is a probation violation. He received a sentence for 7 years. He has been in prison for 11 months and he was 13 months to go before he is eligible for parole. When he is home he will have 5 years of parole over his head.

He and I are still going strong. Because of the nature of the reason of him being in prison, it doesn't bother me. He will be home soon and he has been clean and doing so well for the past few years. If he was in prison due to child molestation, rape, murder, or any crime in a violent nature, I would not be married to him. But because he has been clean and wants to stay clean, I am there for him. It's a good thing our relationship isn't based on sex! We are best friends first and we adore each other. He is worth the wait for me.

If you want to know what support groups are available for people who have loved ones in prison, email me and I'll send you a listing of emailing groups available.

If you were together before he went to jail, yes, you could make it through this. It all depends on if you were honest and true to each other before the jail thing?? if so it will take a lot of will power on your part. Do You want to put your life on hold for this person?? ARE YOU WILLING TO DO THIS? you can't play games with their heart, you are out here, they are behind bars, make sure it is what you want...

My guys in jail til July next year. And that fact does make the odds better. He's less likely to get out and repeat or to get out and mess around. He'll see that your are down with him thru thick and thin and he will love you more for that when he gets out! He will feel like he owes you and will spend the rest of your relationship trynna to make it up to you! Stick By Your Man Girl!

My best friend recently had a child with her boyfriend who then got caught selling marijuana and is now in prison for two years. If you love your partner, then you will find a way to stay together.

The spouse signed the record and had it witnessed, and it develop into then despatched to Saudi Arabia for the the husband to do an same. once the husband signed it and had it witnessed they were married. i do not see any reason you 2 won't be able to do an same.

If you truly love him then Yes im sure you can make it work! its not like he will be able to cheat on you in there anyways...well atleast hopefully not! Also, the thing you need to think about is do you want to be with someone who has been in jail? think about why he's in there....is that who you REALLY want to spend the rest of your life with? I dunno but personally I think someone who's in jail is kinda a turnoff!
