Sometimes guys smile and/or grin when they are unable to deal with a situation.

Maybe he uncomfortable with the situation, and the only way he know how to deal with it to smile.
Try to put yourself in his shoes. What do you do if you see your best friend disciplining his/her child? Without offending your friend.

He might not be sadistic, but he's probably jealous of your kid. In
my opinion, most men don't like other mens children.I'm not speaking for all of them but from what I've seen my sister go throough being a single parent while dating, the men were always jealose of her son. even the good men would make comments about him. I would just watch out for him. If he says mean things to the child or starts playing a little to rough with it that is a less obvious sign of abuse and you should leave him

probable no longer. possibly the spanking replaced into excess of due. Even you assert your newborn is spoiled. I remember dancing and celebrating while my very spoiled step brother have been given his first spanking at age 7 (i replaced into 10 years older). of direction, I have been given in difficulty additionally (in spite of the fact that it replaced into so properly worth it.) And as i are becoming to be older, i've got sat back questioning while a number of my acquaintances have been ever going to concentration on the undesirable habit of their babies. considering which you're making plans on getting married, you'll have an open communicate on what's appropriate habit for a newborn and what are appropriate punishments, to be certain you're the two on an identical internet site. and don't circulate into the communicate w/ the thought he's picking on your daughter. i do no longer think of he ought to be the only punishing your daughter the two. you'll have a extra appropriate concept of what's going on in his head after this.

No, he might be admiring your ability to discipline your child.

There are lot of dumb dumb dumb parents out their who can't do "sh*t" and let their annoying kids running around, breaking thing, and piss off other people. And you are doing a good job.

As for grinning, you have to ask him what is he thinking then.

His smile was to cool you down and had nothing to do with the way you disciplined your child.

Get a life, and post that in the right section.

...unless of course you spanked your kids with a paintbrush or easel.

I think 2 ways:

That is sick if he does it because it gives him joy.

or

mebay he is grins because ............you know when the little brother grins at the older sibling because he just got in trouble and the younger one didn`t..............well mebay he is still a child himself!!

who do you love more? Get rid of him one day he will take your place in disiplining that child, he see's you doing it he will think he can do it too but more feirce. This man does not like much less love your child if he gets pleasure out of watching you beat your child. You need to stop too. You will never receive love from that child if your not giving it. Dear god please protect our children, god loaned him to you remember.

I'd be offended too, I'd also ask what he's smiling about? And if it would be about the disciplining I'd set him straight.
