afraid that they themselves are homosexuals. Do you think that the people here who show so much anger at what we have to say are really just afraid to admit that they want to believe and crave His infinite love?

First of the bible tells us that fear doesn't come from God. So if it doesn't come from God then it isn't a Godly thing. Remember God hates the sin but loves the sinner.

Jesus forgave the sinners and told them to repent and sin no more. If being a Christian means being Christ like shouldn't we be doing the same?

To some homosexuals, religion is just as important to them as being themselves, and being able to love who they want to love. But even to those who do not count religion as important to their lives, still, many legal and government policies are heavily influenced by the religious right. Thus they seek validation because they live in this country, and these policies affect them.

I don't tend to think that all homophobes are closet homosexuals, but I think that they had some homosexual thoughts. I think that they are insecure in thier sexuality that they must hate themselves for it, and thus project this hatred onto homosexuals.

And I think that people who don't accept homosexuality, (excepting the ones that are so far gone in their misinformation that they equate homosexuals with child molestors), think in terms of "well I wouldn't want to do that, so I don't see why we should allow anyone else to do that." There are so many faults with that rationale I don't know where to start!

Everyone wants to feel loved but we refuse to believe there is a big sky daddy that loves us or make up some "god"

Homos do not hurt you in any way while we are here to defend against Xian values. Atheists in the USA talk about the Xian god and Xianity so much because of the profound impact Xianity has on them. Xianity is in our face everywhere we go. Everywhere Xians are attempting barbaric takeovers in an attempt to strip us of our rights. Everywhere in the USA there are Xians trying to destroy the wall between church and state. Xians trying to make belief in god a requirement and the rules of the bible our laws. Xians forget that the last time the church and state were one is referred to as The Dark Ages. It is a major concern. Xians trying to ban the teaching of evolution in schools. Xians trying to force religion on our children. Xians burning books. Xians showing up at gay funerals with signs that read "God hates fags". Xians shooting abortion doctors and blowing up clinics. Xians (Pat Robertson for one) grouping us morally with child molesters, murderers, and thieves. Xians like Former President George Bush saying we're not even citizens. Xians everywhere are in an all out attack to destroy us and they have the audacity to think we would not be concerned? Atheists do not go knocking on doors telling Xians that they are stupid and they're going to hell and how sorry we feel for them. Atheists don't tell Xians what to think and what to believe in. The Xian fundies claim they are being assaulted by us, yet they are the ones who do all the assaulting.

I think you are way off base, especially since most of the Homophobes are in fact, Christians. Are you trying to imply that you have to be a closet homosexual to be a Christian?

If you dislike child rapist and murderers, does that mean you are actually wanting to rape a child or kill someone?

See how that analogy does not work?

And since christians hate homosexuals, christians must hate christians aswell.

(Ok, slight generalization about all christians hating homosexuals.)

Of course! That's it! You are so right, great point! I must be a 'closet-case Christian'.

I'm so much hoping that the biblical God exists. Who wouldn't, we all hope that insane, unfair God truly exists, right?

You are welcome to your beliefs just as I am welcome to my own beliefs.

I do not welcome people preaching their personal beliefs onto me.

And yes, I believe many of the people that "hate" homesexuals are in fact at least bisexual and they realize that they have sinned in their God's eyes.
