Just to add to the few that wasn't mentioned...

1. Tenderize meat. If you can’t afford expensive cuts of meat, try marinating or cooking your meat in tea. The tannins in tea work as a tenderizer to make the meat tasty and delicious.

2. Stop bleeding gums. If you’ve just had a tooth pulled, or if you have a youngster who just lost a tooth, tea bags can help stop the bleeding. Just wet a tea bag with cool water and press into the spot the tooth came from.

3. Keep the dust down. Sprinkle damp tea leaves over the ashes in your fireplace before cleaning it out. The tea will help keep the ashes from rising and getting all over the place while you lift them out.

4. Remove old furniture polish. Boil two tea bags in a quart of water and let cool. Soak a soft cloth in the tea and wring out. Wipe off dirt and old polish, let dry, buff, and then decide if you need to reapply polish.

5. Soothe burns and sunburns. You stayed out on the beach just a little too long, and even your sunscreen didn’t keep you from getting an uncomfortable sunburn. Wet tea bags can take out the sting. Just pat them onto affected areas or keep in place with gauze. You can also put tea into your bath water. This works for other types of burns as well.

• Tea Sachets - add your favorite tea bags (or combination of tea bags and herbs) to a pretty sachet bag and put it anywhere to add a wonderful, fragrant aroma. Easy, inexpensive and makes a great gift, too!

• Tea Staining - fabric can be tea-stained using tea, with varying results in color and darkness. Tea dying has been around a long time and was first used to hide stains on linens. Experiment with herb-based teas such as hibiscus for red tones and black teas for soft brown and cream colors.

• Tea compresses - help your swollen, puffy eyes by putting cooled green tea bags on your tired peepers!

• Tea fix for sunburns - cooled tea bags can help sunburns. The tea will lessen the pain and redness.

• Tea & Plant Recovery - quite a few of us learned this one from our moms: "water" your plants with your cooled, leftover tea and watch your houseplants thrive. Recycle your tea bags in the garden to give the outdoor flora beneficial nutrients as well.

• Tea Baths - use a large sachet bag or small lingerie bag and stuff the "bath bag" with your favorite teas and herbs. Add salts, oils or flowers to enhance your bathing respite.

I have heard that cats don't really like them. So you could scatter them around the garden (hiding them in plants and stuff) to stop them pooing on the garden.

You can use them to age paper. Once they have been used (if they have dried out, re-soak them in water) and use them to rub over the paper to give it some age.

You can put them in your compost bin, or your green coloured re-cycling bin off the council.

Can't think of much else......

You can use their remaining juice to artificially age paper.

after soaking the paper in old tea water, put the paper in an oven (at a very low temp!) and voila! You have ancient looking paper.

Not sure why you'd want to do this though.

Use them on your eye's to reduce the "tired eye" look. Astringents are in the bags, it reduces swelling. Or use them in plants, inside and outside the house.

Yes, put them in your plant pots. The tea feeds the plant apparently

You could put them on the compost heap, or, when they are cold, you can open them up and put the leaves onto sunburn to soothe it.
