I guess it makes sense for those people who fear rejection because they can hide them selves away while they can be the person they wish they were on-line. And for those others I guess it would work if you can live without intimacy and touch for the person you are in a relationship with for me NO it would never work I need to feel the person I'm with and I want them to be able to feel me.

I think online relationships happen because some people NEED that kick....and it's usually harmless since "online" means not actually meeting strangers. Kind of like when married women hang with homosexual men.........no threat.
Some people are afraid of commitment, some people are already taken and internet relationships are safe cuz it's not like you're actually gonna meet the person anyways, etc.
Plus, being a woman, it's just nice to know someone out there "cares" about you. Personally, it doesn't do anything for me, kind of like strippers. What's the point of getting all hot and bothered over someone if you can't actually be with them?!
So that's my piece on the subject. :-)

online relationships are OK if treated like the old "Pen Pal" deal...you have to keep a grasp on reality here...relationships are built on the millions of little things that you share every day...not a few minutes of e-mail, or an instant message session.

Because sometimes as fate has it, you meet the love of your life on line. I did. He was in Australia and without the Internet, I would have never met him. That was 11 years ago. We have been happily married now for 10.

I under no circumstances will do it yet I imagine there is already quite some commenality. both searching for courting, sex extra likely will be in the back of agenda given distance and/or extra mandatory to get to entice close them before a meet. both like pcs and the internet. And in turn both are really lonely and communicate a **** ton.

No it doesnt make sense. Why cant you just walk through the park, or wherever and meet someone??? Internet is too risky- and lame. like... "oh yeah i met my boyfriend in a chatroom" yay.... how romantic!
