This is for women who have VERY long, curly hair. I have very curly hair that I have been trying to grow out. I'm trying to be paitient enough for it to reach my lower back. My question is, does growing curly hair very long REALLy pull most of the curls out??
This is what my mother says to me every time I get frusterated with my hair and threaten to chop it all off again.
And also, the hair that frames my face seems to be taking longer to grow than the back and it is MUCH more curly too. Is this kind of weird or is it just me??

Don't chop it! Persevere, it will grow but will take ages I'm afraid, I have very curly hair also and about 9 years ago a pal (who was a hairdresser) cut my hair, I told him I wanted something drastic - and he gave it to me. Edward Scissorhands style. It took me about 5 years to grow back to my shoulders and it is still only a couple of inches past there now, but I keep chopping it myself as it can grow a bit bushy. Brush it when it is wet for ages, this stimulates the scalp, have a head massage now and again. The sun actually helps hair grow as well but I wouldn't emigrate just to grow your hair. If you get it trimmed, take only a cm off it.

I have known several women with long, curly hair. A girl I went to school with had (natural) sprial curls down to her waist. Use hair treatments to keep it healthy. Try not to get frustrated, just remember how beautiful your hair is and how much us girls with thin wavy hair envy you! :)

For me the longer my hair gets the curlier it becomes. Curls are pretty! Caution, every time I got fed up with my hair and had it snipped Ialways regretted it!! I am happiest now that it's long again!
