Sometimes God provides answers to prayers right on the spot or shortly thereafter. Sometimes He answers prayers in small ways or gives subtle hints that we don't pick up on or take a while to understand. Sometimes, God doesn't feel you're ready for what you are praying for and wants you to mature a little more. Sometimes, the prayers you are asking God to answer are not the things you should be asking God to take care of.

Some times Satan stops the answers from getting through - when Daniel prayed the answer was sent right away, but demons hindered Gabriel for 21 days. In this case at least, it sounds that if Daniel had stopped his praying and fasting, the answer might not have gotten through.

Also God knows when (and how) things will be best for us, so some times He will delay or say no to a prayer - Abraham had to wait 25 years for a promised son, and Paul did not get the "thorn in his flesh" removed.

Our time is not Gods time and we have to learn to be patient. Sometimes what we want is selfish and not something we will get. Sometimes our prayers are answered fast - it is just with a no.

It takes forever. There is no such thing as god, and prayers are irrelevant.

in the lord's eyes...one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years one day. god is not bound by time or space...what seems long to you is really just impatience.

the essece of satan's character is "i want it my way right here, and now!!!!" be patient.

Instant gratification leads to dependency. If God gave you everything you wanted, when you wanted it, would you ever do anything for yourself? Would you ever exercise your own free will?
