With both of my daughters I talked to them a lot. Not baby talk, but regular talk. Even before they could answer me. I would ask them what they were doing, what they were looking at. While we were driving I would talk to them about were we were going and what we might do when we get there. I would just always talk to them basically. My oldest daughter also loves to be read to a lot. She has a wide variety of books and she will play with the books and pretend read (she is two). My daughter speaks very plain and has a huge vocabulary. Of course I think to some point your child is their own little person and they will be there own person, whether they are super intelligent or not.

I was 32 when i had my last child he was 7 wks early and has fluid on his brain which they said would do more damage than good to remove it. They said it would slow him down mentally but i bought baby einstein videos for him since he was about 3 monthes old and he is very smart, smarter than most 3 yr olds, I think they really do work. He had a therapist when he was younger and she actually bought him the first one said they are very good for small children. They teach them how to count, colors, etc.. Also spend time watching with them and read to them also,

As everyone else has said, reading is the key. You also need to talk to her all the time. No matter what the occasion, if you are giving her a bath, feeding her, driving in the car. Do not talk to her in the baby talk, she can understand words. Always keep her involved, point to things and tell her what they are.

Excelerated learning doesn't last long. Generally, children who are taught to read and write before kindergarten end up being on the same level with their peers by third grade. Your child's intelligence will be more influenced by genetics than anything else. Spend time with her, read to her, and try not to push your ideals on her so much that she doesn't get to enjoy her childhood.

challenge her. Read to her. Teach her to read as quickly as you can. My daughter was reading the early readers at 17 months. (The 4 page books with large print). Challenge her all through school get her into AG classes. Teach her to love to learn. You have to have an education and it helps if you're having fun with it as you go. Get started noe read to her as much as you can. Good Luck

Talk to her all the time, and not that baby gibberish. Read a lot, sing, start pointing things out to her as she is learning new words. Help her explore her world.

Focus on being smart with morals and values and worry less about academics!

Read to her every day. Don't be compulsive about it - kids are kids and will grow into their intelligence.
