I tried to potty train my daughter at 2 it was useless. She was potty trained on her 3rd b-day! Every child is different....don't do it. you will know when he is ready. it might be a good idea for him to see you use the bathroom, and then he will want to do it. or get him some DVD's on potty training that might get him ready to do it.

My son is 2 and we're potty training. (Poor You LOL). When I give him something to drink about 15-20 mins later I put him on the potty until he pees. Some think that's too much, but it's working reaaly weel. Give him books to read or maybe a toy to play with. You can also play hand games with him while on the potty. I tried all of these until I found just the right one that worked for him, which turned out to be a book or watching 'Madagascar' We also bought him a potty that makes a royal sound when he goes pee pee.

well he is only 2 boys usually potty train later than girls just don't push him or he will hate the potty he will see it as something he HAS to do rather than something he wants to do take him in the bathroom every time you go so he knows what he is supposed to do and act like its fun so he will want to do it too .GOOD LUCK my daughter is 2 and she will only poop in the toilet. And my son was just turned 3 when he was finally all the way trained and my friends daughter is almost 4 and is not trained at all it all just depends on the child he will do it when he is interested

just keep trying.. put him on it every hour or so.,let him wear underwear,, he will get to the point where hes not interested in wearing a diaper...but most important have patience ive been working with my 2 1/2 yr old all summer,,hes just now getting the hang of urinating in the potty we still have poopy accidents..as they get better they get the hang of it they will let you know when they gotta go

girls are way easier to potty train than boys..i had both my girls trained by 14 mos

good luck and remember keep trying and patience

There is no right way to potty train a child. In order for it to be succesful you have to watch cues that your child is ready to comply with what you are trying to achieve. When they start to recognize that they are wet or soiled is a good time to start. Usually about that time they are starting to have control over it and it will make it easier on you so you won't lose your marbles.

well start with his own potty chair and if you think he should have to go to the bath room put him on that chair. and leave him on there until he goes. yes he may get mad at you but he also needs to learn that you have to pee in a toliet or go in that chair. another thing u don't want to make it where he gets a reward just goin to the chair cause then he will just be goin there to get that reward. if he stays on that potty chair and does go give him something that he likes. i'm a little rusty so these may not work for you, but i would try them.

With my son (who is now 24), I made a calendar chart and bought stickers. I put him in regular underpants with the plastic pants over them so he could feel it, but would not leak. I took him to the bathroom about every hour and we would read a bit. If he'd go he got to pick out a sticker and put it on his chart. If not, I just tried again later.
