Many Marine units go for 6 months, most individual taskings are for 1 year. They can always be extended based on the situation.

1 year. There are SOME temporary duties (TDYs)
that are less but not generally for the USMC
And for Nawab Allem above, we still have troops in Bosnia which the democrats (Clinton) invaded YEARS ago so get off your high horse.
