Lighter beers: Corona, Blue Moon

Medium/lager beers: Yuengling, Molson, Moosehead

Dark/Strong-flavored: Guinness, Bass, pale ales

I especially like India Pale Ales. I drink mostly microbrews, so they're not available nationwide, but my favorites are HopDevil, made by Victory Brewing, and Stone IPA. They're a little more expensive, but it's worth it.

All the big name beers--Bud, Coors, Miller--are disgusting. Pay a little more and get something better, unless you're just drinking to get drunk.

I'm on a Weltenburger Kloster kick right now. The beers are made by German moncks. The "Urtyp Hell" is a smooth Lager, and the "Asam-Bock" is a dark Amber that is delicious and full-flavored. Also try Old Speckled Hen. Its a true English cask Ale. The new popular beer in the bars around here is Krait, a Polish Lager. Stella Artois (Belgian Lager) is good too. Happy drinking!

These days I am absolutely hooked on the beers produced by two breweries here in the West.

The first, New Belgium, out of Fort Collins, CO, produces such wonderful liquid magick as Fat Tire, 1554, and Trippel. Oh the bliss!!

I also like Deschutes Brewery, out of Bend, OR, produces such miracles of flavour as Black Butte Porter, Obsidian Stout, and for the faint of heart, Mirror Pond Pale Ale.

I cannot recommend either brewery enough and no other breweries have piqued my interest nearly so much. I would also give a shout out to the Portneuf Valley Brewery in Pocatello, ID; I recently tried their Twisted Stick Amber Ale, and it was a little taste of paradise too!

Beer taste is very subjective, but I think if you are talking about good beer, you can't go wrong with belgium beers.

Here are some for you to try:
Dellirium Tremmens (voted best beer of the world a couple of years back)
Chimay - easiest trappist beer to find, I sugest the white to start with.
Hoegaarden - my personal favorite for the summer. You can't go wrong with it.

i dont drink beer very often. but when i do feel like drinking a beer i like something that tastes kinda light and not thick and full bodied. my first choice for an american beer is michelob ultra. just a smooth clean taste. but there are alot of german beers that are also very good. amber weiss is really good. oh. there is an american brand of beer that is wheat beer. it goes by the brand name of boulevard. that is very good. kinda expensive like the good german beer though.

I have to agree with Magic Hat beers, a microbrew from Burlington VT..... Circus boy is really good, but some liquor stores claim it's "seasonal". Magic Hat's classic is #9, very good, my absolute favorite is Strawberry Blonde.

Magic Hat beers. There are all different kinds. My favorite right now is "Circus Boy". They have cool little sayings under the caps too.
