Make sure it's less than a year old. And you MUST steep it properly. Most green teas should only be steeped 20 or 30 seconds at most. It is possible to use the tea bag twice. When you are making green tea for more than one person, you pour in the hot water. Wait about 10 seconds. Pour half a cup out to each cup. Then starting with the LAST cup, you put in another half a cup. I'd only do four cups at a time, at most. The first tea is too weak, the middle tea is just right, and the last tea is too strong -- but the FIRST cup will be half weak, and half strong. Seriously, even 30 seconds difference can mean bitter tea! Give it a try, and see what I mean.

For green tea I go with Yamamotoyama. You can find it in lots of Asian markets and it's the real thing.
