You did not mess up. In fact you did the right thing. If you are no longer dating her and still not over her, it sucks. Seeing her only makes things worse. Wait until you are completely over her before you interact with her. Good luck.

If it hurts too much emotionally for you to see her at this point .. then you did the right thing to protect yourself. You might want to talk to her on the phone again and ask if the reason she wanted to go out for lunch again was to see if there is still a possibility of working things out .. or does she want to be only friends ? .. It's a good idea to know where she is coming from. Good Luck ! :)

she's your ex for some reason right? Maybe it's best you don't see her. Maybe she realized that. Think about it Long and hard before initializing anything again. You'll prevent future heartache for both of yous.
