Went out to dinner last night and then went bowling. The guy I am dating is very competitive...well I beat him 2 out of the 3 games. He went from fun and flirty to serious and frustrated. I didnt know how to react so I just got quiet figuring that sarcasm would only fuel the fire. He asked me what was wrong and I explained that I only get to see him once or twice a week and it was kinda disappointing that it went the way it did. I told him he didnt talk or touch me because he was getting to into the fact that he was losing...he kinda ruined it with his attitude and behavior. Afterward we just sat and talked about things and he mentioned buying me a xmas present....he has been hesistant to meet my parents and my sister and is very hot and cold with me. I dont know what to think. Can anyone give me some advice on this, how do you proceed? I feel like the date was a disappointment, not sure if he felt the same. We have been dating for 6 weeks. Guys how do I handle this situation?

I am worried that I might have offended him by telling him I was upset and disappointed in the date.....I really like him and want more from him.

Honey, move on. This behavior is a small glimpse into the future. If he is acting like this over bowling, wow what in the world would he do in a real life situation that requires a competitive nature to it? You know ladies when you are dating there are tail tail signs of wrong behavior and this is one of them. This is a RED FLAG!!!! So Please Move on, you have only had a couple of dates and you haven't lost too much time. You deserve better than this. Don't make excuses for him. Just tell him that you want more from a relationship than what he is going to give you. For get the Christmas gift, you will have plenty of time to find a new love before then. Please do yourself the favor and find someone else. Don't settle for this it is only a mess getting ready to be messier..
God Bless

Guys are very competitive and usually sore loosers. If this behaviour continues I'd try to talk to him about it. Tell him you're just having fun and that he's a great guy. If the spoiled sport continues to come out in him...I'd rethink the relationship. Sounds like he may be a pouter.

First off, when a girl beats you at bowling and you're pissed, hes insecure....

second you can only make it worse by telling him a date is a disappointment.

the family stuff only makes the seriousness of a relationship more obvious, its not just fun anymore, its a Relationship. More insecurity, looks like.....

okay, from a guy's point of view, this guy has issues. being competitive is one thing, but to handle it the way he did was very inmature. if he is hesitant to meet your parents, you might be looking further into what you have together than he is.

He should feel bad for being a sore loser.
Some guys can't handle losing to a girl...it's a male ego thing.
