I am having a civil wedding in a country hotel in May. I would like to wear a long simple gown...and have a small tiara or tiny flowers in my hair. I am a young looking 52 slim dark skinned with shoulder length dark hair.I thought a pale yellow dress.? I woulld like a bridal car .Will I look silly at my age?

NO NOT AT ALL!! My Mum got remarried a few years ago at the age of 51. She wore a beautiful dress from Monsoon and had a bridal car, flowers, the works! I was so proud of her and the thing that made her look so stunning was simply how happy she was! It's your special day, make the most of it!!

Not at all. Keep the dress simple, the flowers and tiara subtle, and you will turn heads for all the right reaosns.
Turning up in a wedding car is another stylish addition, and is practical.
It's your big day. All eyes should be on you, with everyone commenting how lovely you look. By the sounds of it, you'll achieve this - no problem

Your wedding is your day. Who cares if you look silly. But in my opinion with what you told us, you will look fantastic.
You are young at 52, be proud. Look gorgeous and rent a limo with the streamers and the whole shebang!
Wear your hair up with some curls hanging out with some small yellow flowers entwined. the tiara might be a little much!! :o)
Yellow with dark skin and hair looks fantastic. use it to brighten you up!

Honey, pale yellow is pretty but with your dark hair and dark complexion, you could wear white and it would really suit you!
These days white just means joy..lots of brides wearing it are non virgins/have kids/second marriages/ mature brides.
If you want a coloured dress, I think you would really dazzle your man if you wore a gold coloured dress..it would look absolutely stunning on you! Google some gold wedding dresses for inspiration..the ones I have seen are gorgeous. You're never to old to be a bride and princess on your day..so have the wedding of your dreams. Good luck. :-)

Of course not from what describe yourself as you would look great. Its your wedding day and you deserve the best so if that a tiara and a wedding car then that's what you should have. It does not matter when you are getting married. You could be getting married in your back garden or your local park and still look great in that.

Not at all. I think you would look beautiful! Remember, no matter how old you are (and 52 isn't old!) it is still your big day and if you can't wear a posh frock and sit in a fancy car on one of the biggest days of your life then when can you? Have a beautiful wedding and good luck.

I love yellow colors! But I don't have the coloring to wear it formally. Go for it! And there's nothing wrong with having a car. Forget about age, this is YOUR day.
I got my second marriage at the JP and wore black. I can even wear that dress again. Just do what you want, you deserve it!

no not at all, you will look lovely. It's your wedding day not matter what age you are, and you should be able to pick which wedding car you want if you like it and what dress you would like to wear. If you wanted to wear a fancy dress costume then i would say you should wear it because you want to. Enjoy your big day and i hope it goes well for you and you enjoy this special day.Good luck.

Fantastic!!!! Sounds simple and elegant. I'd consider shopping for your gown at your local dept stores, or online at like Ch*dwicks.com. Both Mich*els craft stores and W*lm*rt carry small sylish tiara's. I married in Jamaica this past Jan for the first time at 38. And I wanted clean simple lines and was not finding them at the bridal stores (and had small orchids in my hair.)
You need transportation, why not a bridal car.
It's all about you and your spouse. He sounds like a lucky man.
I'd love to see the pictures.
