well nowhere in the bible does it say you must attend church. jesus spoke against the churches as they were corrupt. fellowship with other christians is what we are supposed to have. (doesnt say fellowship with hypocrits). i would get into a small study group with some peers who are serious about the religion.

There are hypocrites in Church. But the meaning of the word hypocrite is "prentender". Don't get them confused with the Christians who are in Church because they know they cannot be perfect, they are only saved by grace THROUGH Christ. OK.It's like this we were born in sin, we had an all F's report card..

..When Christ died and rose again, and offered the free gift of salvation and we accept His gift because of what HE did, not because of what we will ever do, we received HIS all A's report card..

When a Christian sins we fall into it...we don't go willing..The book of Hebrews says that if we are truly saved we "cannot CONTINUE in sin" doesn't say we will never sin again.

When you break your leg you go to a physical hospital ~ We go to Church because it is a spiritual hospital.

Hypocrites may show up at a church building every Sunday, but there are no hypocrites in the Church (Christ’s body). Hypocrite comes from the Greek word for "actor," or pretender. Hypocrisy is "the practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold."

The Church is made up of true believers; hypocrites are "pretenders" who sit among God’s people. God knows those who love Him, and the Bible warns that He will sort out the true converts from the false on the Day of Judgment. All hypocrites will end up in hell (Matthew 24:51).

If you cannot ignore them then you need to go to them and tell them what you suspect and want a explanation for their offense! It's called being accountable to the body of belivers for all offenses (perceived or real). You as a young convert want to better know the LORD and are asking a seemingly mature brother/sister for confidence in sacred matters of conduct before the fellowship of believers(including the next new convert).

Actually, I forgot where, but there is a section on going to a brother and sister and telling them that they are in sin. If nothing is done, you are supposed to get one other brother and tell them.

If you're in a small group or close fellowship and you and the person really want to become more Christlike, you tell them in love what they are doing that is against the Bible. If they are repentant and want to work on it, it is then between them and God. We are here to help each other become more Christ-like. I think God provides opportunities for us to do this.

I know that there are times people have rebuked me and I didn't realize that what I was doing was wrong. We are here to help each other.

Nope.
His Word says to exhort one another.

That is, to correct or to point out their error in Christian love.
They may not see it.

Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 10:24 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

The NIV translation:
(NIV) Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.

Warn each other. Correction.

Galatians 6:1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Matthew 18:15 shows correction within the church.

According to christian doctrine, society , and dogma,, YES.

If you want to "fit in" you will need to wear the same color of suit as everyone else, ignore anything that does not make sense to you, believe without question anything you hear (including rumors about your neihbor) and shut yourself off from anything in society that may cause you to question your faith like,,,

Science
Television
Music
Movies
Your own body and free will.

If you do these things you will become the well rounded faithful happy person all of the people at your church pretend to be.

The bible admonishes us to walk out our own salvation in fear and trembling. That means to look to your own weaknesses. Also, the bible tells us that love covers a multitude of sins. If you have an opinion that a brother or sister in Christ is a hypocrite, why are you on Yahoo gossiping? Better to pray for them, and for yourself....I think you need an attitude adjustment.

Yeah, just ignore them and do what YOU came to church to do. Let God deal with the hypocrites. It is only Satan that is trying to upset you by pointing out the hypocrisy in the church. He does that to get your mind off what you really came for. Every church has hypocrites and always will. Just pray the more for them.

If you can you grow in faith on such an environment why not...and i think it's not to be called fellowship if it's like that. try the smaller church first i would say, where Christ is the one lifted up instead of anybody else, including the pastor.

you go to church for more than fellowship. Find a church where people are not hypocritical. Not all churches are. And try not to be so judgmental yourself - that is not for you to decided who is being a hypocrite.
