i am not sure that anyone except Christ is in a posistion to judge that. we all have our struggles, and we all sin, that is why Christ died for us...simply accpeting him as your lord and saviour, and following his teachings is what makes you a real Christians, yet, we still stumble, and yet God still forgives...mercy and grace is an amazing concept.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta
John Paul II
Therese of Leisuex
Catherine of Siena
Augustine of Hippo
Francis of Assisi
Edith Stein (aka Sister Benedicta)
Thomas More
Monica (Augustine's mother)
Catherine Laboure
And these are just 10 off the top of my head! I know it seems like there only those that are not "real" Christians--even Jesus warned us that there is a narrow gate--but there are so many more than the people I listed above that never recieve international recognition for their obedience to God. These people live quiet lives of love and are never noticed. Actually, Therese of Liesuix wouldn't have been known at all if it hadn't been for her sister insisting that Therese write an autobiography. Just a thought.
Don't give up hope! There are some true Christians and others still struggling to stay on the road! God Bless!

So long as you point your finger at others and say "look what bad Christians they are", you are not amongst the righteous. Admonish the sinner with compassion, don't humiliate them.
We know many are called but few will answer. We know we must walk the straight and narrow, but many will fall by the way.
Do not condemn any of them because, in God's eyes, they retain redeemable qualities - even as they wallow in the depths of sin.
All people are temples of the Holy Spirit. We must treat all people as such.

William C,
What kind of faith do you have, William C? What puts you in the belief that there aren't any? What possesses you to judge? Are you not talking just like the fundies, perhaps on the other side of the coin?
Or could it be, just a slight chance, that maybe, just maybe, you don't know what it takes to be saved?

To quote a beautiful man who taught non-violence and had an astonishing impact on the world...
“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
What Gandhi said over 50 years ago is just as true today as it was then.

Now, now William C (I have no doubt what the 'C' stands for), your question is one of the best examples I have seen on this forum of using an abstract extract from the Bible to suit your argument. Who was He speaking about........... I have a strong feelings that when you first posed this question you put 'Muslims' but thought twice about it, changing it to Christians who would not be quite so upset.
(p.s. My guess is that the 'C' stands for Corinthian)....

No ONE is PERFECT, and I don't think anyone claims to be perfect like Jesus.
EVERY DAY, we sinners have to call on Jesus to forgive us. We do such stupid things!
But He loves us sooo much, that He died in our place, so we can just ask for forgiveness.
We are NOT perfect, just FORGIVEN.

You do not speak in specifics, just generalities.
I know many Catholics who fully live the teachings of Christ in how they care and love their fellow man.

William, my friend, you are exactly right. We try but most of the times, just don't get it right or do things like Christ would.
