the only reason why you assume morality is going down the hole is because people dont live in the victorian ages anymore, things change and so does views on religion and spirituality, what was considered acceptable i.e. slavery in the civil war era is now considered barbaric

as for children, they have been told to be seen and not heard for too long and theyre tired of being put in the corner, its ironic that you have spiky hair and play the card of little goody two shoes.

We seem to be confusing individual rights with self-importance. Notice something interesting:

Two hundred years ago, NO denomination in the Christian Church taught that Heaven should EVER be taken as a given. Even Mother Teresa said before her death that she didn't know if she would make it (to Heaven).

What we've done is to replace TRUE spirituality with opinion. Your opinion will "SAVE you!" The focus on the individual has been taken to such a ridicules extreme that even God (supposedly) will reward or punish you strictly by your OPINION (about a dogma, or whatever). After all, self-expression is the most important thing in the world, right?

In a culture where people are automatically good, just because they mouth the popular opinion, or, even better, just because they were born, WHAT WOULD BE THE REASON TO practice spirituality - which is often difficult and demands hard choices?

the reasons why morals are going down is because christians think that they rule the roost and can do whatever they want and then blame the other guy because he wasnt christian. it only works for so long then other people catch on and get angry.

Disobedient, rude children, dysfunctional familes, 'perversion' 'immorality' and corruption have been along for a LONG time. Probably since the beginning of civilization. What we DONT have anymore for the most part are things like 75% infant mortality, an average life span of 50 years, laws made by the local warlord, mass plagues, and 99% illiteracy. So perhaps things are getting better, not worse.

The fact Christianity is not in the home and school anymore may be the reason for some of these issues. It probably has impacted society to some degree. However, the problem with disobedient kids is because parents don't PARENT anymore. Part of the reason for that is, that society doesn't ALLOW us to discipline our kids anymore. Parents have to be afraid to to actually punish their kids anymore for fear they will have children's services called on them. THAT is just ridiculous. Also, parents have such busy lives and distractions, now more than ever. So kids are expected to grow up faster and do more things on their own at earlier ages. I have a very busy and demanding career and I am a single parent, but I am lucky enough to have my mom helping me to raise my kids. I can tell you that we monitor what they do and spend time with them teaching them the basic values, manners and the difference between right and wrong. We let them be kids and try not to expose them to too much "adult" stuff. My kids do not tell me to "shut up" and they do not act up in public.

Yes things are getting worse. Now that we do not base things on what the Bible teaches us about what is right and wrong, people are free to set up their own rules so they can decide what is right for them.

Yes, I believe we're in the last days. I believe this not because I'm old, not because I'm unhappy (because I'm very happy), but because I see the signs as written in the book of Revelation. I assume the world will continuel to get worse befor it gets better. I definitely wouldn't want to be here when God pours out His judgments on the earth. Make sure you have accepted Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior. His salvation is a gift. Your penalty for sin already paid. Yet, you have to pray to Jesus Christ and accept His gift.

Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified for our benefit. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, tht whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
