Naw, christians spend too much time worrying about religion, where they are going, etc instead of helping the world NOW when they are alive to do something about it

(not applicable to all Christians)

Okay, I'll bite...I believe Christians and Atheists alike all have hardships, trials, and temptations. I think my life is a Christian is better than someone who doesn't believe because I feel that my trials are stepping stones to getting me closer to where I need to be spiritually. I know that all things work together for good, for those who loves the Lord, whether it's bad or good. For me, that's better than not having an understanding and not knowing the purpose for things. I know that if I continue to hold to the faith, follow Christ, and allow Him to do the work in me, then my reward is in in Heaven. You feel what I'm saying?

I think everyone on earth faces the same challenges.. but I think what you are referring to is more on the things atheist do that christians are not allowed to do, which they consider sinful and immoral.. Well, if one thinks that doing those things will make your life better on earth, then yes, atheist will have a better life.

I know you'd like to hear Christians say yes. That way, it would give you an opportunity to point out the many "worldly" ways that they do not have a better life on earth than atheists.

The fact is: There really is no way to measure an answer to this question.

But one thing is for certain: FOR THE CHRISTIAN - HIS/HER life is better after he/she became a christian than before.

You might have been one to have asked this question to Christ himself had you been there.

Reminds me of a similar question asked of our Lord by some VERY RELIGIOUS but erroneous men: Your question comes from one who is not even religious:

Matt 21:23-27 records,
Jesus entered the temple courts, and, while he was teaching, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him.

"By what authority are you doing these things?" they asked. "And who gave you this authority?"

Jesus replied, "I will also ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. John's baptism—where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or from men?"

They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Then why didn't you believe him?'

But if we say, 'From men'—we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet."

So they answered Jesus, "WE DON'T KNOW."

Then he said, "NEITHER WILL I TELL TOU BY WHAT AUTHORITY I DO THESE THINGS.

These men, in our Lord's judgement didn't even KNOW ENOUGH and was not honest enough to deserve an answer. They didn't deserve an answer, yet you think you do.

Yet, and still, there are those who try to honestly answer you from their hearts.

How about you? Do YOU know enough about what you ask? Are YOU honest enough?

Thanks for the question. They give me additional opportunity to build my faith, and there by, get closer to Him. One can get closer to Him, or one can get further and further away from him. I choose to get closer to Him. If you choose otherwise, that's YOUR choice, and I respect it.

Peace

no, usually (on earth) it's worse. but this is the only life an atheist will have. so I do hope they make the best of it and enjoy every day to the fullest.

Not necessarily. What we get here and now is pretty much potluck. Christians are looking forward past the curtain of death to their place in eternity. Atheists can't or won't look that far.

No, not at all. Atheists can still have a fulfilling life without having religion.

I have a stress free life filled with peace, joy, love and forgiveness. The surety of eternity with God. I would think that's better than the opposite.

I think you would have to compare one person to another person. Not one group to another. But I will go to a better place after I die. Heaven will be my reward
