How 'bout taking all your pictures--the ones where you and he are in. Start from when you were a baby and set them in an alburm up to this day. Make special notes next to some of the pictures you like the most. Write a poem or letter for him and place it at the end of the album.

Peace, love your way.

Remember something that the two of you used to do when you were younger, ie fishing, camping, going to the race track or baseball game, and do that again. Nothing is better to a parent than to be reminded of the good times and they remember too. Just bring tissues! : )

Take him to the Movies? to a theatre for a comedy show? For a meal by the sea or try to take him out for the afternoon and evening to do it all.
What I am saying badly here is this, possessions can get lost or broken, but memories last forever.
Just celebrate his day well. :¬D

what i did was i got all the pictures of me and my sibs....and i made a collage out of them from when we were little till now, put them in a big picture frame and presented him with it...he was so overjoyed, he said it was the best present he has ever had because some of the pitures he'd never seen as he was away at sea alot....a home made present is always the best because it shows that you put your heart and soul into it, plus it was made with love....try it, i bet he will be over the moon

Get him something for his car, like a break down tool kit. Its practical and he can tell his friends without being embarrassed.
