It says in the bible that God knew you before you were in your mother's womb. Therefore I guess he must have a warehouse of sorts. I do not believe people are born evil. I think babies are blank slates and whatever is written on that slate by society, parents, peers, and experiences make a child what he will become.

Scripture does not address the question as to where souls come from. Apparently God does not feel we need to know this infomation or He would have told us. It's an interesting though not very important thought.
Here's what I believe. It is from the book of Steve (that's me) chapter 942 verse 1752. I believe just as God has the ability to create all things physical ( us and the universe around us) He also has the ability to create all things spiritual (the angels who do not have a physical body and us who do have a physical body). So before He created the angel's spirit they were not in existence. And before He created our spirit along with a physical body we were not in existence. So God has been involved in creation throughout time.
The spirits of rapists, murderers, and psycopaths were created perfect and in God's image just as my spirit and the spirit of the angels was created perfect. But just as I have freedom of choice to reject His love and just as the angels had freedom of choice to reject His love (I believe scripture indicates that satan and His demons are fallen angels) likewise the rapists, murderers, and psycopaths have freedom of choice but have chosen to reject God.
There you go! From the book of Steve!

God is infinitely creative! He keeps creating souls to glorify Him here on earth and at the end of life in that wonderful place Heaven. People aren't born evil, outside of orginal sin, but everyone does have to make the choice whether or not to follow Jesus and escape their sinful ways.

No one is born evil - they way children act reflects on the parents - the way they were brought up - but there are parents who bring up their children right - but because of other influences the child will turn to the dark side (as known in Star Wars).
God does not create a being just to destroy it.

Our souls come from God. Satan tries to influence our choices and if WE let him, he will. No one is born evil. Evil is definitely a choice made. Prayer can and will change things, IF it is God's will. Pray for deliverance from evil and strength against temptation. Stay right with God and everything will be all right. God Bless you. :)

I have a trichotomist view. Soul, i believe is different from spirit. Try to see the creation of the human being in genesis. it seems to me that the soul is the result of the union of the body and spirit. so it would be consciousness in other words. It says in the scriptures, "God breathed(spirit) into him and he became a living soul"

It is the strong identification with an idea and thought that requires manifestation in human shape to fulfill that desire. And multiple thoughts require multiple forms.
That is why Masters keep telling repeatedly that all are one, and the same thing ultimately, and each has to merge with the Universal one (call it by whatever name) !

There aren't any, just individuals that live and die. It's the natural order of things.
People go wrong for all sorts of reasons, but mentally and physically. Inborn, aqcuired via environment, mental illness, abuse. Lots of variables there and no one answer.
Blaming it on the devil is rather pointless because that implies there's nothing anyone can do about it. That's not true.
