we are almost done with the current book, and I'm starting the search for the next one. I would like to read to them about the changes their bodies will start going through, so that they can understand that the process is normal, and what to expect. We have had many talks about it, but I fear I may leave some things out as my mother wasn't as thurough with me. Any suggestions?

Only serious aswers please. Thanks

I am asking for book suggestions so that they are not going to get too much information at once.

I'd just let them enjoy being kids for a while. You've already explained everything to them, what on earth could you have left out? Theres some things that everyone has to experience to understand.

I'd read them the little house on the prarie books because theyre interesting and wholesome, and let their bodies take their own course.

They'll come to you with all their questions and concerns. If you pump them so full of information now their lives with begin to revolve around when they become women. And they need time to be kids first.

They make books about this and it should give an age range on the book. My mother never explained ANYTHING to me and it led to a great deal of problems in my life. I was confused about everything. I think it is great that you want ot explain things to your daughter. Just make sure that it is age appropriate. I would suggest going on Amazon.com they have a big selection of books.

i think you should just let them be for now.
Being a loving mother, i am sure that they will come to you when they need help or advice. Go to a book store such as Barnes and Nobles and have them recommend one, leave it in a book shelf at home and whenever your daughters want advice, you take the book down and you can read it to them.

You can go to the book store and ask for the section on parenting and that will open up a much broader category for you to think about with your daughters!

Did you try the library or local book store. I would go into the child development or sexaul development section. If you are still unclear, talk to your pediatrician and ask for a recommendation for a book.

do not offer any more info than they are ready for. just let them ask questions and lead the way. you REALLY DON'T want them to have too much info before time. this will keep them younger for longer. i don't really think you want your little ones running around trying to have sex with each other just to see what its like do you??
