get over my first true love? I can't seem to get over her, no matter what i do i think about her 24/7. Can someone help me?

Believe it or not but you don't totally forget your first love. I can remember the first time I saw mine. What he smelled like, what he was wearing. and what we talked about. They will always be in your mind cuz they were a part of your past where you start to see the world in a different view. I think about him alot. But I am in a part of my life now where I am happier then I have ever been. Would I go back to my first love? NO. There is a reason for everything that happens in our lives and that is why I am where I am today. Happy, loved, content and most of all being myself..

its always hard to get over ur first true love, i think it takes alot of time, but ways to help the pain ease is too surround urself with ur frinds who make u feel special, take up a hobby u really enjoy, go out to the clubs and meet new ppl ( im not just talking about picking up) anything that will take ur mind of her, the busier you become the less time you will have to think about her, i am sorry to hear that you lost her but we all go through it and we all survive, what doesnt kill us makes us stronger, its all character building, u will find someone else i promise. Good luck my friend and chin up, try to smile too - it makes ppl wonder what youve been up to!!!

Keep busy. Does she have someone else? If so that helps. Just date around you will find someone else. Their is alot of fish in the sea you know.

I know it is cliche but time really does wonders to past hurts. In time you will feel better and when you think of her, it will not hurt anymore. You have to undergo what you are undergoing right now no matter how hurting it is. And bearing with it will make you face your feelings faster rather than avoiding thinking of her. It is a natural process of healing.

Hey I have went on with my life and got married and have been for 5 years...........and I still think about my first love........I have had 2 kids, bought a house.......got an SUV......and I seem to still think about him every so often......so I dont think you will ever get over your first......you just tend not to remember so much as time goes by.

i understand.... becus she's your first true love she'll be the hardest to get over. but you will eventually and after that you will be fine. just give yourself time and keep yourself busy in the meantime. hang out with your friends, family, etc, and keep your mind off it as much as possible. also, get rid of everything that reminds you of her too, that definitely helps
